3 And 4 Gallon Plastic Waterers
|
These plastic founts are durable. The twist-lock handle allows for carrying the entire unit, even when full of water. The 3 gallon fount comes with a specially made grill so it can be used by quail, young fowl, and baby chicks. Grill is easy to remove when birds are older. Because these are plastic, they won’t rust, and there are no seams, so it can’t leak. To fill, simply turn fount over and remove the base on the 3 gallon fount, fill with water, replace the base and turn over to carry. The 4 gallon has a special feature in the base; it comes with a screw-out plug enabling you to fill the fount without taking off the base. Both founts work well on the Platform Stand.

Customer Product Reviews
Like the waterer that we got from McMurray about two years ago. It's lightweight and easy to carry but holds about 2 1/2 days worth of water for 25 chickens. It doesn't rust and rests flat on the ground or a pile of cement "tiles". Easy to take to different areas of the backyard depending on the weather. It's out under a big ficus tree right now and the chickens love the shade and water during the hot August summer in Southern Calif. The red "bottom" part does fade but no big deal, stills works no matter what color.
