Some people prefer a smaller, lighter bird for fryers and these will fill that bill. They are white feathered, yellow skinned, light breed cockerel chicks from either our Highland 55’s or White Leghorns. They are delicious fryers but will take longer to reach butchering size. They will not be as large as Cornish X Rock or Cornish Roasters. Many of our customers buy the Frying Pan Special for butchering and raise them with the pullets they order.

There were right on time and being the cute little yellow cotton balls they are, it's going to be hard for the wife and son to let me make them meat birds....and we got 1 extra ....What will it be?... Thank ya, McMurray

This is my second 30 lot order from Murray McMurray. My first batch were the large meat bird Jumbo cross; my second lot are the Cornish Cross. The first jumbo birds were just that, Thanksgiving all year long. The average dressed weight was over 8 lbs. The largest tipped the scale at just shy of 11 lbs at 9 weeks. I'm trying the Cornish cross for a smaller bird. These folks are pros at what they do. Order with confidence.
