We at one time had a number of Guineas, but most had been lost to old age and one declining geriatric pair was left on our property. They had long ago stopped laying eggs, and spent most of the day looking at themselves in our car tire rims. Then we ordered the Guineas Galore Assortment. The babies arrived in great shape, all different colors we had not seen before. We kept them caged for a few months to keep such little ones safe from the predetor birds. When large enough, we opened the cage and now our old pair has a new life as "parents" to the flock. No more moping around near the cars, now they guide the babies around our four wooded acres, herding them and protecting them like avian sheepdogs. I spend hours just watching them, they are so beautiful, interesting, comical and entertaining. Not to mention they eat all my bugs. Thank you, McMurray Hatchery!
