Here is another fine example of the crested fowl and among the most ornamental of all. These were brought to their wonderful point of development by European and English breeders as long ago as the mid 1800's. Very showy and also useful layers of white eggs. Baby chicks are a dark brown.

As a reminder, to help ensure a safe arrival to you, the minimum number of chicks for each order prior to April 1st is 25. On and after April 1st, the minimum number of chicks required is 15. You can mix and match any type of baby chick in your order to reach the applicable chick minimum order. If ordering any bantams, we require a minimum of 15 bantams per order.

Customer Product Reviews
product review Last year, for my very first chicken order, I ordered two Golden Laced Polish only to fill the shipping requirements thinking I'll just sell them when they get older, not realizing how much I would come to enjoy the breed. Out of the two, one is still a part of my flock. The aptly named Labelle was such a hit, I intend to buy more in the future of both Golden Laced and add Buff Laced. I have been told that Polish are poor layers, but not Labelle. I average about 5 or 6 Large eggs a week, and she started laying before my Maran who is supposed to be a good layer. I love ordering from McMurray!
Just received our mixed order and we have established that our mystery chick is a Golden Polish. How exciting!
I ordered two of these darlings along with several other breeds. Everyone gets a big kick out of them. They look like roadrunners on the fritz when they run around my yard. When I pick them up they tuck their heads under my chin like a child wanting to cuddle. It is so endearing! I love these little girls and would recommend them to anyone.
My 11 year old son HAD to have some Polish when we ordered chicks last spring / summer. So we got 5 Golden and 5 Buff. They are the neatest birds! They love to be held and snuggled. My 4 year old will sit on a bucket, put one or two on her lap and sing to them. Sure enough , within 30 seconds she has them out like a light until she moves!
Received my first chickens ever and brought my Golden Polish, Phyllis to the Berrien Youth Fair. Placed first in the fancy bird division. Very excited and thank you !
LOVE OUR GOLDEN POLISH!They are such fun! And so pretty!
Thank you for our 25 Pearl White Leghorns and our freebie Golden Polish bird, "Cocoa." We received our "girls" in early June and they are doing just great! This is our third time to order from you folks and your quality of birds and professionalism is to be highly commended. The wife and I truely enjoy "the girls." Thank you folks once again.

I just received my 25 Golden Laced Polish! All were alive and healthy!! Appear to also be all females!! Also included my free chick!! VERY impressed will for sure!! buy from McMurray Hatchery again!!!
Murray Mc Murray has the best birds in the hatchery business. The chicks are always very healthy and the colors are outstanding. Our Golden Polish chicks are beautiful. My great Grandmother always got her chicks from Murray McMurray Hatchery.
Thank you so much for the Golden Polish as our mystery chick. We named her Hattie. We just witnessed the coolest thing with her (or him) this evening. It was getting close to dusk, and most of the chicks had gone upstairs to the inside of the coop, but a few girls remained back. (We have Aracauna, Black Star, Red Star, Silver Laced Wyanndottes, and Rhode Island Reds). Well Hattie just wouldn't stop chirping and running around until they were all rounded up and went up the ramp to the house, then she went up last. It was awesome to watch.
What a nice surprise. A little golden polish. Can't wait to see what it looks like as an adult. Already named it: Hat Trick
So so so so cute! My kids LOVED the fact there was a "mystery chick" included (what a cool idea!) and were just as excited about that as they were about the 25 leghorns I ordered. He/she is one week old & kids cannot wait for it to grow as they have loved the pics we have been looking at online.
We got Brownie, our Golden Polish, as our mystery chick. Although my daughter was the first to fall in love with her, our whole family loves her right to bits now and she's truly a cherished member of our pet family.
Thank you MCMURRAY HATCHERY you've got the best chickens. Thanks for my polish rooster. He is so cool!!!!!!!!!
We got Polly, my Golden Polish about 14 weeks ago as our "free rare exotic chick". He is awesome looking with his crest of black and golden feathers. Just yesterday he started to crow (he still needs to work on it). He is a great and fun chicken. THANK YOU, MCMURRAY HATCHERY!!!
For our "mystery chick" we received a Golden Polish chick that has quickly become a family favorite. My daughter dotes on it and has named it Brownie. What a wonderful addition to the family!
We got this little chick yesterday. He was our free exotic chick. He is so cute and gets along with the other chicks.
When I was in 3rd or 4th grade we ordered about 10 Golden Polish Rt. run. We kept about 4. Now im in 8th grade, and they are still laying like crazy! And they are great broody hens every year in the summer. And every yr at fair they go and get great ribbons. Thanks for having such AWESOME quality champion birds! -Alaena
I got some Golden Polish for my 4-H project last year.I took them to the fairand they won a purple ribbon. I would recomend these chikens to anyone that wants to show off at a show or fair! They are great! -Elizabeth
We ordered 2 Golden Polish roosters in early April. Already, they are apart of the flock. They are so goofy looking and their crows are cute. Both are extremely friendly, a little on the shy side, but still wonderful. They have such a funny personality and are hilarious to watch. I love them!
I highly recommend the Golden Polish as an addition to anyones flock. I have enjoyed raising these birds and always get a chuckle when I see them. They are always the subject of conversation when guests come to visit. My kids really get a kick out of them.
This bird got me a reserved champion. We got him as an exotic and that was the best bird that I got that year. With his funny crested head and his great attitude I really do recommend this bird. Matt M. Zanesville,Ohio
