These attractive ducks bear the name of the famous French city they came from originally. Similar to the Wild Mallard in color, the males have a lustrous green head and neck, a rich purplish brown chest, and steel gray penciling on the upper body. The females are mahogany brown with fine penciling of greenish black or brown. Males have a fall weight of 8 to 9 pounds and females are 6 to 7 pounds.
I got my rouens in April. I have been very pleased with them. They turned out to be healthy and hardy.
The ducks have beutiful, bright plumage. I will always order my ducks from McMurray Hatchery, and recommend it to my friends.
I have Rouen ducks. When I got them in April, I enjoyed seeing them grow up. They really grow fast and they started laying eggs on October 11,2003. They are very beautiful when they grow their feathers. I would tell everyone to get their birds from Murry McMurry Hatchery!!!!!
I bought four ducklings in June. I am very happy with how sweet and lovable these ducks are. They have never been sick, hurt, or mean. They are a great size and are just nice birds. I would never trade these sweet hearts for anything. Also I am excited for the hopeful hatching of babies in the spring.
We received our rouen ducks last year. They are personable and humorous--not to mention, being handy at reducing the bug population. They sleep with our 4 border collies and cat. Our home would not be the same without them. They are a permanent part of our landscape!

All hens lay eggs, but some will lay more eggs than others.
