Originating in the Rio Grande Valley, these wild turkeys are very similar to the Broad Breasted Bronze turkeys but are much smaller. Females can be distinguished from the males by a presence of white tips on the breast feathers, pink skin on the head and neck, and absence of spurs. Most males will have beards upon maturity. Unlike their domestic cousin, they will reproduce naturally and do not require artificial insemination. Sorry we CANNOT SHIP to Alabama, New Hampshire, Maine, North Carolina, Virginia, South Carolina or Georgia. Other states, please check with your state regulatory agency for any necessary permit.

Did You Know?
Chickens can start sparring to establish the pecking order at about 6 weeks of age. (And I've seen it in 1 week old chicks.) |
