Used for treating outbreaks of coccidiosis and fowl cholera. Do not give to chickens over 16 weeks of age and turkeys over 24 weeks old. Symptoms include: loss of appetite, ruffled feathers, birds act cold and listless, combs turn pale, loss of weight, droppings can be watery, bloody, pasty, or light-brown to yellow in color. If you treat for coccidiosis when the birds are young, most of your disease problems disappear as the bird matures. Keeping pens clean with fresh litter helps prevent disease. Fowl Cholera is a contagious disease in geese and sometimes ducks and swans. Caused by a bacteria and spread by feed, water, and premises, to pen-mates. Rapid death occurs in the most severe cases, however, profuse greenish-yellow to white diarrhea will be seen. In turkeys, wry neck is a frequent sign. Dosage: 1 tsp. per gal. maintenance, 2 tsp. per gal. severe dosage, and 1/2 tsp. for prevention.
