We have ordered from you in the past and have been very pleased with the birds you sell. In 1997 we ordered from you for the first time, and recieved some wonderful White Crested Black Polish chicks. My mom thought they were really something and they soon got the nickname 'poofy-head' chickens! We still are enjoying these today.

I am in 4-H and have shown some of our chickens we recieved from you at our county fair. They have done very well and I am planning on ordering for the fair this year as soon as I can.

We are very pleased with our chicks. They are doing great. Like many others, we were skeptical about ordering chicks through the mail,but they arrived happy and healthy. Our son is raising chickens for a 4-H project. As a family we are all involved and we are learning a lot. Your web information on care has been most helpful. We have never had chickens before, but your hatchery provides all the information that we have needed.

I've been very pleased with the birds I have bought from you for the past 5 years, they always come on time and everyone is in excellent condition, plus you have extra exotics thrown in their that are fun to watch. Other than being attractive birds, they make really good layers! I just started my own farm fresh egg selling business last spring starting with just 9 regular customers, now I'm over 50. My customers have given me really good comments about the eggs and when they come to visit, they always say something good about my birds. My customers are increasing and it's starting to become overwhelming trying to keep up with all of them.

I have purchased chicks from other hatcheries but now I only purchase from McMurray Hatchery, because they always satisfy their customers. I just want to tell you that you're doing an excellent job with all your birds and satisfying your customers. Thank you for your hard work!

It took me two weeks to decide what type of chickens to get and your web site helped alot. I was, as many people skepticle about recieving the chicks by mail. I recieved them this morning and all were alive and well. I was worried all morning that some would die because they were brought in from 20* F weather to 70*F in our house, but all are still happy and healthy. There is an oddball one that has fuzzy legs (a varity that we didn't order) so it will be interesting to see what it grows in to. Thanks for the wonderful chicks.

I spoke with you on April 18, 2001 and placed an order for baby chicks. During our conversation, I shared with you that last year I ordered chicks and in October of 2000, we won North Carolina State Grand Champion in Standard Breed of Poultry at the North Carolina State Fair.

I'm enclosing three pictures of the champion. These pictures do not do justice to the Champion, but hopefully this will give you some idea how beautiful this cock really is. He is a Jersey Black Giant. It really was a wonderful surprise to have a State Grand Champion.

We are very pleased with all the chicks we have ordered and they grow well. Thanks for all the information your company gives and for selling healthy chicks.

Dear Murray McMurray Hatchery,

I just received my shipment of baby chicks this week and wanted to write and thank you for the great service. I was a little cautious of the idea of having chicks shipped, but after reading up on it I learned it's the best way to get healthy poultry. I especially liked the idea of being able to get pullets in such a variety of birds, not just straight run. From the beginning I found your web site to be really helpful, as was the catalog. The pictures are beautiful, and I was pleased with the wide range of birds you offer. The hardest part was making up my mind which one to choose! Your staff was very helpful in answering my questions over the phone, and offered some suggestions about birds that I might like. I was also pleased that I could choose the week of delivery, and you had all of my choices available that week.

As your instructions suggest, I advised my local Post Office that the shipment would arrive on Monday and asked them to call me as soon as they came in. The Saturday before they were to arrive I imagined my little chicks popping out of their eggs, and crossed my fingers that they would have a safe trip. On Sunday morning I was pleasantly surprised when my regional post office called to say my chicks were at their facility, and they offered to meet us at the local post office so they wouldn't have to sit overnight before we could pick them up! When we unpacked them and dipped their beaks in water, we were again pleased to learn that each and every bird was perky and chirping.

The chicks are six days old now and are already growing like crazy. It's fun watching their patterns develop as their wing feathers start to come in, and quite entertaining to guess which variety is which. We were also tickled by the two complimentary birds you included with our order of 28 chicks. We look forward to watching them grow, and a bounty of fresh eggs later this year! In all, our experience has been very positive, and we would definitely order from your hatchery again. Thanks again!
