We bought a bunch of Buff Orphington chicks along with 2 Delawares last spring from MM. We are now getting a blue-ish colored egg every couple days and are reasonable certain it is coming from one of the Delawares. How is this possible? Fact sheet on Delawares says "brown eggs". We sell some of our eggs and now we have to make sure the customer doesn't get those oddball eggs. Can someone clarify this?

If you are getting a blue egg it's not from a Buff Orphington or a Delaware, you have another breed of chicken in the mix even if it might look like a Buff Orphington or Delaware, it's not.

Blue eggs taste just as good. Why would a customer object to getting wonderful blue eggs? If anything, you could charge more for them.
I am purposely trying for the blue eggs in my birds.
