Does anyone use an electric fence around their coop? Any suggestion on brands?

I would use Electro Netting for a fence if I had a problem. Premier1 sells the stuff for poultry if you can't find it elsewhere. I know the stuff works great for sheep. It's a lot better than a single wire and a whole lot easier to put up. Not real cheap, but will last many, many years if taken care of.

This may help - we offer the PoultryNet on page 68 of the 2013 catalog or here is the link to it on our website: http://www.mcmurrayhatchery.com/electric_poultry_fence.html

I ordered a mesh fence from Kenkove Farm Fence Supplies. The quality of it is wonderful. I haven't got it up yet cause we are still winter here. It is spendy but you get quality. Most of the mesh fences I have seen do work but they are poor quality.-Hope this works for you.

the poultry netting (Premier??) is sensational- it comes already attached to the poles, is super easy to install and move around....I ended up not electrifying it as it is plenty tall, and they grade the size of the grid so not much gets through....the younger chicks can get through it, however, so be warned....excellent addition to my chicken equipment....
