We have a 3 year old Cochin rooster. How many years will he be able to "service" his hens?? We did have another rooster but Fuzzy killed him...

Karen,me again.I usually judge my roosters just like the hens.Most hens are really laying eggs great between about 8-9 months untilaround two years, Then the older they get they start to slow up.I would say that not until around 3yrs. should you really notice any big change.I hope this will give a little help on approximate time. Pat
