68 years old. Live on my mom and dad's 57 acre farm. Enjoy having free range chickens for eggs. I have a pet pygmy goat called BUTTY. He is funny. I'm raising some pheasant to release to the wild in hops someone don't Hunt them and they will reproduce and multiply.
Also have 5 bee hives. Small garden. My brother keeps a few cattle on pasture. Just living here enjoying life on the farm.
I bought 30 baby pheasant and am keeping them in a large box with a red 250 light and feeding them high protein chick feed. I've had them 3 days. One was dead when they arrived and 4 have died since. Is it normal to lose that many. Some looked weak when I got them but the rest look good right now.
Am I doing anything to cause so many to die?
