I think a friend said once that Sex-link chickens were mean and killed some of their chickens but I am not sure. Are they mean?

Survived our first winter in Montana. Girls did well even when it got to -22.
They are not mean. In fact they are pretty laid back generally. Of course, your friend might have had a sex link that WAS mean. Each chicken has its own personality.

I know people who have Polish chickens. I wouldn't have another one if you paid me to take it as the only one I ever owned was people aggressive and very mean. We sent him to freezer camp. However, some people adore Polish and think they are nice friendly chickens.

I have 20 Red Sex-Link and they have been my easiest going hens. There are a couple of more aggressive but not to the point of attacking another hen. The black Sex-Links are a little more aggressive and somewhat anti-social but nothing that would be considered bad behavior. Bohr are very good layers
