Recently I have been noticing on some of my birds, a dark purple discoloration on the back portion of their combs. all the affected birds have larger combs. both hens and roos affected, ages one through three. Nobody appears ill in any other way. They are free-range, have a variety of food to choose from in the coops, and get kitchen scraps fairly regularly. Our temperatures have been ranging between 65 and 85 degrees with pretty high humidity.

It sounds like a frost bitten comb, but I guess it can't be with the temperature so high. Did you find what might be wrong?
