It looks like a partridge Easter egger except that I would expect the legs to be greenish. Very cute!

It looks like an Americana. We order at least 12 of them annually. That chick will probably develop a beard by the time it is fully mature. They are phenomenal layers in the Texas heat.

I agree that it looks like an araucana. I have been breeding these birds for several years trying to get a good quality show bird. No luck. If his chick is a true araucana then you got very lucky with the yellow legs. If the other qualifications develop by maturity, you may have a show baby. Good luck

Can anyone identify our mystery chick? It is a greenish/blueish gray tint with feathered legs.

Erin - It may be a blue cochin. They can vary in color from light blue/gray to almost black.

Mine looked really similar to the first chick on this thread. It's now 4.5 weeks old and looks like this. Any idea what type?

Joe15 - Your chick is at and awkward feathering stage. It may be an Ameraucana...but hard to tell right now. Please post a new pic in a few weeks when it is mostly feathered and we can get a better idea.

Please help identify this cutey that I received in my Ornamental Layer Collection. He is turning out to be quite a handsome rooster so I'm thinking he was the free rare exotic. I cannot for the life of me figure out which breed though, he looks so much like several but then I notice something like wrong leg color or earlobe color...I am going crazy! lol Any ideas would be great
