Thinking about getting ducks ore gees, have a huge yard in the middle of nowhere surrounded by woods, No pond, is that a problem?

Domestic ducks and geese do not need water to swim in. But they do need plenty of water to drink. And enough to dunk their heads so they can clean their eyes and nostrils. I Just use a couple plastic kids pools and fill them up everyday with fresh water.

they don't need to have one but it's really fun to watch them swim around and dive. The ones I had in the past would always wait until I was near them then start splashing me by fluttering their wings in the water
