I found a great way to keep broilers cool and comfortable in the intense summer heat. My chickens have never liked to be sprayed with water, and cooling the ground with cold water only helped for a short time until the earth warmed up again. Well, this year I tried putting the hoze nozzle on "MIST" and hung it on the fence about 4 feet off the ground. Most every broiler settled down under that cool mist! They didn't seem to mind getting drenched. Didn't lose ANY this year to heat.
