When I had received my order of one white chinese gosling male and two ducklings, I noticed something quite odd about the gosling. His eyelids were closed shut and wouldn't open. I tried to gently rub them open, kind of like massaging the eyelid muscles to stimulate them to move. It didn't work, but I came to find out that, about seven to eight hours later that day, he finally opened his eyes. He is a happy, healthy gander today, but I am curious as to what the meaning of this occurrence was.
What was it all about? Is it a bad thing, or is it normal? Thank you!
