I have a problem I have some 46 chickens in my coop which have started to roost on the waters in the coop and contaminating there water need to now if I get a hanging feeder cover if that will prevent them from doing that and keeping the water clean a little longer.

Try a poultry nipple set up. Much cleaner.

I have a hanging waterer and have never had anything roost on it. Conical in shape so can't roost on it also is hanging from a chain so they can't roost. In the summer I am able too put ice in it for cool water.
