I have a white Chinese female goose that is 10 years old. I got her as a gosling & she layed eggs the first 3 years (for about 3 months out of the year- in early spring). The last 7 years, not one egg. She is in a large orchard enclosure, all grass plus her house so it is not possible to miss seeing the eggs. Also, before when she WAS laying, she would set for a few hours before laying the egg (always in her house), so it was easy to tell that there was going to be an egg. Now, no setting, no eggs, nothing. Do white Chinese only lay for a few years before going "barren"?

A Chinese goose will average 40-50 eggs per season. They are most productive for the first 3-6 years but can lay longer. She is old enough now where she won't be producing anymore. Not sure why she was done laying so soon.
