Can a cracked or broken egg hatch if the membrane isn't ripped?

It is possible if bacteria has not entered through the crack, but it very unlikely. It is best to not put cracked eggs in the incubator. They could explode and contaminate the other eggs.

A cracked egg can be hatched I have done it many times . Just take nail polish any color (LOL)and fill in the crack. When it is hatching watch to make sure the chick can break through the polish. I have had to help them out several times.
As long as the membrane is till intact it will hatch!
I buy eggs to hatch through the mail and many times they come cracked. So trying to save the chick that wan very rare I trie diet and it worked.

I have tried hatching eggs with cracked shells and all I've ever gotten is a very messy incubator. I guess the heat from the incubator caused the eggs to crack even further, spilling the egg contents in the bottom of the incubator.
