The Whooper Swan is a large, white swan with black and yellow bill, with a broad, yellow patch covering at least half of the upper mandible. The feet and legs are black. They will feed by dipping their head and neck in water. The Whooper Swan will eat invertebrates and aquatic plants. They will also eat a poultry layer feed. They have a strong direct flight with deep and steady wing beats, flying in a V formation.  They are yearlings.
