The Whiting True Green™* is a McMurray Hatchery exclusive. These are excellent green egg layers. This popular chicken breed is known for laying consistently large, green eggs. Whiting True Greens have an astounding feed-to-egg conversion, are not likely to set, and free range well.
Mature birds range from reddish to chestnut in color, have a single comb, yellow legs, and are on the light side — averaging just 4-7 pounds. Day-old baby chicks vary in color from a golden to chestnut to a darker reddish brown.
