The largest pheasant breed offered is the Jumbo Ringneck Pheasant. This breed is primarily Mongolian blood and is a challenging bird for dogs to get into flight as it tends to be a ground runner. The cock typically weighs between 3.5-4 lbs. and hens 2.5-3 lbs. at maturity. This bird is often used by clubs and growers for meat production. It’s recommended that you get your orders in early to ensure you’ll be able to secure your desired hatch dates for Jumbo Ringneck.

Can you keep pheasants with chickens. Quail with chickens?
No, it is not recommended to keep gamebirds with chickens. They can be more aggressive and also should be fed a higher protein gamebird feed which is not recommended for chickens.

Be sure they have enough space, and are able to get away from the heat if needed. Also use a red heat bulb instead of white.

We recommend a high protein gamebird feed. Up to 6 weeks old - 28% gamebird starter feed 6-22 weeks old - 19-20% gamebird grower/finisher feed after 22 weeks old - 14% gamebird layer feed
