In general carriage the Spanish are graceful and stylish. The rich glossy black plumage, the large red comb, and the long pendulous white face and ear lobes present a striking and different appearance. They are non-setters, lay white eggs, and are the same size as Minorcas. They are thought to be the oldest breed in the Mediterranean class of fowl. 	Customer Product Reviews   We ordered a pair of White Faced Black Spanish several years ago and they have been a beautiful addition to our farm. The hen is a consistent layer and the male, with extrememly large spurs, is suprisingly gentle. Thanks McMurray hatchery, we have been very pleased.

Did You Know? A good way to tell if an egg is fresh is to put it in cold water. A fresh egg contains little air so it will sink.
