These ducks are also called Buff Orpington ducks because they originated from the famous Orpington Farms in England. This is the same home of the well known Orpington Breed of chickens. The drake and hen are colored the same with the exception of the drake’s head which is a beautiful seal-brown matched against the soft buff color of the rest of the duck. The hens are good layers, not broody, and will weigh up to 7 pounds. Drakes are about one pound heavier than the hens. These eggs are sold only in lots of 12 or 25.
