They are named in reference to the striking crown of bristle feathers on the tops of their EAST AFRICAN CROWNED CRANE heads. These beautiful birds are known for the complicated and energetic dancing, and keen eye sight. They are unique among cranes for their ability and tendency to perch. They are from the late Spring 2009 hatch.
