I used this product when I was living in Iowa. The amount of chickens were around 150. The automatic water trough system worked really well and it saved me a lot of time and energy. I would buy it again.

Extremely well made, and a real time saver. I am a small-scale poultry farmer (20 to 150 birds at a time), and am ordering my third 18" water trough today. The first two have 1 and 2 seasons of use under their belts and still work as they did when new. Obviously, they have to be protected from frost, and it is a good idea to invest in a hose that is rated for continuous pressure, but other than cleaning them periodically, you need just set 'em up and leave them to keep your birds supplied with fresh water. One drawback: If you are using an additive, such as "quick chick," this won't work very well for you. (Note from McMurray's: When using Quik Chik use a tip over plastic fount.)L. GraykinDeerfield, NH
