These ducks are also called Buff Orpington ducks because they originated from the famous Orpington Farms in England. This is the same home of the well known Orpington Breed of chickens. The drake and hen are colored the same with the exception of the drake’s head which is a beautiful seal-brown matched against the soft buff color of the rest of the duck. 	Customer Product Reviews   We ordered the fancy duck package and a couple of Buff ducks were included. I have found that the Buff ducks are by far the smartest ducks we have ever owned. We really enjoy them.     I would like to thank McMurray hatchery for the wonderfully healthy birds that I have received from them. Just recently I ordered 5 Buff and 5 White Pekin ducks and all arrived in perfect health! This was my 4th order from McMurray-- the first 3 orders being chicks. How exciting to receive a "free chick" with those orders. Once you have experienced healthy birds from this hatchery you'll never order from anyone else again! McMurray hatchery is the only way to go...

Did You Know? Chickens can start sparring to establish the pecking order at about 6 weeks of age. (And I've seen it in 1 week old chicks.)
