These are handsome, massive fowl of the Asiatic class and gorgeously colored. Males' hackle and saddle feathers are almost orange-red with black centers. Females have the typical partridge pattern with dark reddish brown feathers penciled in black. THANKS     Cochins are some the nicest chickens ever! They are wonderful setters. The roosters are firm with my hens and protect them from coyotes, but they are nice to people. Sam Rosenthal     Last year, I bought three Partridge Cochins, and they are the best chickens that I have ever had. They have excellent temperment, they are superior mothers, and they are good egg layers, when they're not trying to sit. Try 'um, you'll like 'um!
