Customer Product Reviews
I received a chick order and got a Salmon Faverolle rooster as my free chick. We decided to keep him just to see what type of personality he would end up having and if he would be safe to keep around our little girl (most of the roosters we've had turned out to be mean). He is the most gentle rooster I have ever encountered. We decided to get him some faverolles so he could have his own girls and they are all really beautiful and gentle birds. I love how the females are different in color from the males, and one of our females won Reserve Champion at the poultry show for last year's fair.
We ordered some Salmon Favorelles last spring. They did well at fair, both our male and female placing second. We had to downsize and were only able to keep one, but she is the sweetest thing. Her name is Daphne, and she loves people. Thanks for the wonderful bird.
In the spring of 2008 I ordered about 30 rare and endangered chicks, and my free rooster was a Salmon Faverolle. He turned out to be my favorite of the group. He is top bird in my flock, yet very docile. If you are not careful you will trip over him, and he doesn't mind being petted, especially if you have a treat for him. He and a Cuckoo Marans rooster that I adopted this past spring are buds as well.
On April 12 we got 27 chicks 10 Salmons, 10 Dark Brahmas, 6 Black Jersey Giants, and one Lakenvelder. I think that it is a he. When ever we put new food in, he goes in to the food bowl and makes the food fly. They are great. I love them so much. Thank you Mcmurray
These are gorgeous chickens. Our rooster was our most beautiful rooster ever, more beautiful than any at a fair. The females are lovely and docile and low to the ground.
These are the most beautiful chickens I've ever had! They "show off" all the time. The hens are so tame they come up to my children for attention or to get a "treat"! I have gotten so many compliments on our rooster. He's stunninng to look at. Thank You for such wonderful birds! S.S. in Ashland, VA.
