Tuxedo quail are a variety of Coturnix that have dark feathering on their head and back and white on their chest — giving the appearance that they are wearing a tuxedo jacket.

Coturnix are easy and cost-effective to keep. Quail begin laying at just 8 weeks, or are ready to butcher at 10 weeks. Eggs are about 13 grams. Adult birds weigh approximately 10 ounces.
