McMurray Hatchery Stanley Cranes
McMurray Hatchery Stanley Cranes Breeder Pair McMurray Logo

Stanley Cranes

The Stanley Crane males and females look nearly alike. They are both mostly a silvery bluish white color. Their heads are clean, but with very dense feathers that can be raised creating different angles to the face and head to display emotion.

They have long, dark feathers on the lower neck and chest, with a distinguishing appearance of the long dark blue-black feathers that go from the undersides of the wingsnearly to the ground. They have black legs.

In the wild, Stanley Cranes'  diet consists of seeds, plants, insects, and small animals. In captivity a commercial layer type of feed would be recommended for general feeding, but you can supplement their diet with greens, vegetables, mealworms, fruit, peanuts, and small fish would be a great way to add variety to their diet.

They are available as breeder pairs, and have not been pinioned. To request wing clipping please call 1-800-456-3280.

They must be picked up at a major airport in your area that is serviced by Delta.
