Java Green Peafowl

Java Green Peafowl (Muticus-muticus) are the most vividly colored of the green subspecies. The male's crest is tall and tightly bundled. The facial skin includes a region of light blue and a bright yellow loral patch. The head and neck are metallic green, the shoulders bluish-green, and the abdomen a dark green.

These birds are not pinioned and can fly.  To request that a wing be clipped, please call our office at (800) 456-3280. Please note, even with their wing clipped, peafowl can jump 8 feet in the air.
