Swinhoe Pheasant

Swinhoe Pheasant (Lophura swinhoii) — also known as the Taiwan Blue Pheasant — are native to the forests in the mountains of Central Taiwan. Their population is shrinking due to logging. 

Male Swinhoe Pheasants are a brilliant blue with a red face and legs, and white crest, nape, and a pair of long white tail feathers. Female Swinhoe Pheasants also have a red face, and are brown camouflaged with lighter spotting and markings.
