Our Feather-Sexable Mix of Coturnix Quail hatching eggs offers a variety of quail that are easy to differentiate males from females. These assorted breeds of Coturnix Quail are bred for great egg production and different distinct markings for male and female. This popular mix may include Italian, Sparkly, Autumn Amber, Egyptian, Golden Manchurian, Jumbo Wild, Pansy, Egyptian Fee, Pearl, Pansy Fee and more! 

SEXING: To identify males from females, at four weeks of age males will have solid colored chest feathers and females will have speckled chest feathers — making identification easy for new quail keepers.

Coturnix are an easy and cost-effective path to self-sufficiency in a small space. Quail begin laying eggs at 8 weeks, or are ready to butcher at 10 weeks. Eggs are around 13 grams. Adult birds weigh approximately 10 ounces.
