SEXING: To identify males from females, at four weeks of age males will have solid colored chest feathers and females will have speckled chest feathers — making identification easy for new quail keepers.
Coturnix are an easy and cost-effective path to self-sufficiency in a small space. Quail begin laying eggs at 8 weeks, or are ready to butcher at 10 weeks. Eggs are around 13 grams. Adult birds weigh approximately 10 ounces.
