Coturnix Quail
Our smallest new breed this season is the Coturnix Quail. Available as assorted chicks, these miniature dual-purpose birds come in a variety of colors and patterns, are easy to raise, and are fast growing — going from chick to laying in just eight weeks.
Colors and patterns include tuxedo, brown, white, silver and more. Raise them for meat, or their distinctive spotted eggs. As a meat bird, Coturnix will average 3-6 ounces at maturity.
Coturnix Quail can be moved from a brooder to a hutch, cage or enclosure once they are fully-feathered, which is around 4 weeks. Use care when moving outside to ensure that the weather is good.
Minimum order for Coturnix Quail is just 30 chicks.
