Dark Brahmas - Ratings and Reviews
Raging RoosterReceived 15 chicks in June 2015,ended up w/7 roosters. Gorgeous birds. Because of predators I kept them cooped most of the time, free ranging 2-3 hours daily. They fought! I lost two that I chalked up to stress from having so many together- no signs of illness or injury, & I read that stress can cause heart attacks :( We got rid of all but one- the one most bullied. HA! once he was 'King', he was horrible! Very aggressive, attacked me, attacked our dog. Blaming his attitude on early childhood trauma, but finally gave King Rage away- the dog was afraid to go into the yard when he was loose :) Love the breed, the hens are wonderful, gentle, & broody, lay large eggs. We had lots of chicks this Spring. Keeping one of King's sons, not giving up.
problem henHated this hen. She was big and stupid. Lived too long.
