Juvenile Lavender Guinea
The Lavender Guineas have been the result of a cross between Pearl and White Guineas. The plumage of Lavender Guineas is light gray or a lavender throughout and regularly marked with pearl-like white spots or wavy bars of white. They have coral red wattles with a helmet this is light brown and their eyes are dark brown or black.
Guineas make excellent “watch dogs” announcing with a loud screeching warning sound when strange activity occurs.
Here on our farm we raise our guineas on pasture and feed them an all natural feed supplement. Please note that guineas are known to wander away in search of food, so its always best to keep them confined for 3-4 weeks before allowing them to free range.
