These double walled waterers are of the highest quality and are very easy to use. As your chicks grow and drink more, these will cut down your number of trips to the well.

2 gallons will handle 100 chicks L 12.25" x W 12.25" x 10.75", 5 gallons up to 75 hens L 15.25" x W 15.25" H 15.25", and 8 gallons will water 100 hens L 15.25" W 15.25 x H 22".

Does this type of waterer work with ducks?
Yes these waterers can work for ducks, but you would also need to have an open water source for the ducks as well as they need to be able to get their heads under the water to clean their noses out.

I am in need of the rubber seal that goes on the inside and slips over the copper piece. Where can I get one?
Sorry, we do not offer replacement parts for the galvanized waterer. We suggest checking at your local hardware store for a rubber seal (gasket).

are these galvanized waterers made in the U.S.A.?
Yes, our galvanized waterers are made in the USA.

How do you refill these waterers? Does the lid lift off or do you need to flip it over like the plastic ones?
To fill the galvanized waterer: remove the outer sleeve to expose inner tank. Fill inner tank with water, replace outer sleeve. No need to flip waterer!

Are these the waterers that fill from the top?
The galvanized waterers are double walled. You twist and pull the top off, fill the fount, then push the top back on and lock in place.
