White Laced Red Cornish
The ideal plumage pattern in which each feather is a rich dark red narrowly laced with white is very difficult to achieve but tremendously impressive in those individuals which are marked that way. Even though others may not quite realize this perfection they are handsome birds in their red and white plumage and deep yellow skin color, and display to a high degree the square, blocky type of true Cornish. They mature rather slowly. Hens are fair layers of brown eggs which have firm, strong shells. Chicks are rather small and of varying shades of reddish buff.

White Laced Red Cornish - Ratings and Reviews
GreatI bought 3 last years from Murray McMurray one died for unknown reasons. They are a small chick but soon take off growing and will catch up with the rest in know time. Anyway I have 1 rooster and 1 hen they are very friendly and will eat out of your hand. Quiet dispassion and very well formed bodies feathers fir snug against their body. But a nice sized bird when fully grown; Rooster is a darker red than the hen she is a light creamed color laced in red. I will hatch some of the eggs. But for anyone wanting a calm larger bird kid friendly these will foot the bill. Eggs are a medium sized hard shell brown egg.
DO NOT BUYWe had some success with the dark Cornish last year, but when butchered there were some dark pin feathers left which was kind of off putting so we thought we'd try the light variety this year. The chicks we were sent were the tiniest birds we have ever seen. We thought they were bantams, so we called the company to see if there had been some mistake in shipping. We told that this bird is smaller than others. We lost 5 in the first 2 days and we had one come up lame later on. We did get a refund for the dead loss but it didn't replace the birds. We raised the remaining birds for 5 months and 1 week (a full month longer than necessary), they were given only meat bird food. We butchered last week....of the 13 birds the smallest was 2.6 lbs dressed and the largest was 3.6 pounds. We had an average dress weight of 3.4 pounds. A complete disappointment. We will not only never order this bird again but we will also NEVER order from this company again.
