THE COLOR BLUE: A unique genetic feature of this breed is the constant recurrence in the offspring of not only all blue chicks, but also the black, white, and black-white colors used in the original matings many generations ago to produce these blue birds. All of these chicks carry the blue genes and when mated black on white or with other blues in turn produce many blue offspring. In our breeding flocks, however, only blue males of the finest color are used.
Approximately 50% of the baby chicks will be all blue. The other 50% will be black, white, and black/white combinations.
What blue breeds do you carry all together?

If I order a total of 200 birds, 50 of each breed, would I get the 100 or more discounted price because of the volume? Or does it have to be 100+ of the breed to get the discount?
It has to be 100 of the same breed. You can mix the different breeds in your order, but will not get the discounted price.
If I were to get only one of this breed would it be more likely for it to be blue?
There is no guarantee on if it will be blue. Approximately 50% of the chicks will be all blue. The other 50% will be black, white or black/white combinations. You would have better odds if you order more than 1 chick.
Love them!!!I have two BA roos age 9 months now. Neither of them are aggressive at all. One actually likes to walk beside me like a puppy. I think he is just always curious to see what I'm doing next. We shall see as time progresses.
DisappointedExtremely flighty. 4/4 of our hens turned out to be nothing but solid gray in color which was a big disappointment.
