Coturnix Quail (Sexed)

Our set package of sexed Coturnix Quail is sold in lots of 10 sexed quail chicks per order (8 females and 2 males). This sexed package of Coturnix quail chicks will include reddish colored females and brown males for easy identification.

To ensure safer shipping, Coturnix Quail are shipped at approximately 2.5 weeks of age. Quail grow much more rapidly than chickens, therefore upon arrival these Coturnix chicks will be starting to feather out.

Coturnix Quail are the total package! These miniature dual-purpose birds are ideal for both homesteaders and urban and backyard keepers. Coturnix are easy to raise, are fast growing — going from chick to laying in just eight weeks, and come in a variety of colors. Raise them for meat, or their distinctive spotted eggs. As a meat bird, Coturnix will average 3-6 ounces at maturity.

Coturnix Quail can be moved from a brooder to a hutch, cage or enclosure once they are fully-feathered, which is around 4 weeks. Use care when moving outside to ensure that the weather is good.
