Faverolles - Ratings and Reviews
Tenderest Meat pf any ChickenI had these roosters a few years ago. They had the absolute tenderest, finest grain meat of any chicken I've ever raised in 40 yrs. Had to keep them separate as they would not defend themselves from even my other hens, who would peck them unmercifully. VERY docile. I highly recommend the males as a meat chicken.
NopeI ordered 5 chick, 1 rooster and 4 pullets. Of the 4 that survived only 1 was a hen the rest were roosters. The roosters were gentle enough with people, but were aggressive with each other and the rest of the flock. They were also the smallest and least attractive in my opinion. So I ended up placing them with a new home. Not a fan. And of course the next order I got the mystery chick was a Salmon Faverolles rooster... bummer.
As a reminder, to help ensure a safe arrival to you, the minimum number of chicks for each order prior to April 1st is 25. On and after April 1st, the minimum number of chicks required is 15. You can mix and match any type of baby chick in your order to reach the applicable chick minimum order. If ordering any bantams, we require a minimum of 15 bantams per order.
