Faverolles - Ratings and Reviews
Tenderest Meat pf any ChickenI had these roosters a few years ago. They had the absolute tenderest, finest grain meat of any chicken I've ever raised in 40 yrs. Had to keep them separate as they would not defend themselves from even my other hens, who would peck them unmercifully. VERY docile. I highly recommend the males as a meat chicken.
non productiveMy first and only salmon favorelles are about a year old, all (5) arrived healthy and happy as is usual with all my mcmurray orders (have never lost a chick) One turned out to be a rooster, which was no big deal and all are beautiful, BUT in all this time I have not gotten an egg or a crow. I'm simply baffled never had a chicken that didn't lay at all in the 20+ yrs I've had chickens. Obviously I won't be getting any more.
As a reminder, to help ensure a safe arrival to you, the minimum number of chicks for each order prior to April 1st is 25. On and after April 1st, the minimum number of chicks required is 15. You can mix and match any type of baby chick in your order to reach the applicable chick minimum order. If ordering any bantams, we require a minimum of 15 bantams per order.
