My son is wanting Chickens for the fair which will be held the last week of July so when would he want to get his chicks?
It would depend on what age they allow at the fair for showing. You may need to check with his leader or the county extension service.
How old are these chickens when they start laying? Mine are 7 mos. and haven't started laying yet.
Most breeds can start between 5-7 months. But there are several variables that will affect the age or time when they start laying.
What is straight run?
Straight run means "just as hatched". The chicks are not sexed to determine if they are males or females.Show all Questions and Answers
