What does "non setters" mean?
That means they are not likely to sit on a clutch of eggs to hatch them.
I am very interested in purchasing some of the White Wyandottes, but am wondering if they will set. I am wanting to use them as meat and egg sources but would like to be able to have them hatch the chicks themselves. Thank you for your time.
The Wyandottes tend to be non setters.
Beautiful and friendly, girls! We have had one big white girl named Medea and she has been with us for about 2 years, she has been the most friendly girl of our flock following us around and gently pecking on the back of our legs so we would pick her up and carry her! She is also very jealous of the other girls! We fell in love with her and therefore when we ordered this spring we included 10 more for our new flock and they are just as beautiful and friendly as our old girl, Medea! We love them and they are all good layers, too laying most every day!
ugly! Some of my first chickens ever. Were they ever disgusting. Good layers maybe, but who wanted to look at them?
